Daniel Colby: Pyrite Princes at the Latcham Gallery - February 25 - April 7, 2012

This exhibition will include this emerging artist's new paintings on canvas of fictitious characters and objects, focusing on transition and impermanence while exploring the issues of gender, age, identity and human relationships.

Born and raised in Uxbridge, Ontario, Daniel Colby received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Halifax at NSCAD University in 2002. He is an annual participant in the Uxbridge Studio Tour as well as frequently being included in local juried exhibitions winning many Best in Show jurors' awards. Colby's work can be found in many private collections and has been included in solo and group shows in Halifax (Anna Leonowens Gallery), Toronto (Paul Petro Contemporary Art, Resistor Gallery), Los Angeles (Harvey Levine Gallery) and London, Ontario (Jonathon Bancroft- Snell Gallery).
