The Writers Community of York Region

The non-profit, community-based Writers' Community of York Region (WCYR) is a hub organization that will provide support, professional development and networking opportunities to authors, poets, playwrights, songwriters, technical writers and their supporters in York Region. It is partnered after its sister organization, the highly successful Writers' Community of Durham Region (WCDR), which has
in excess of 400 members.
WCYR's primary goal is to nurture, encourage and promote the work of writers at all levels and of all genres, independently and in co-operation with existing writing-related organizations, associations and groups.
