FESTIVALS & FAIRS

2012 Theme: "Home of Champions"
President's Message:
One of my most vivid and fondest memories when I was very young was visiting my great-grandfather's farm. If timing was right, a new crop of lambs would have arrived and we would get to help take care of them during our visit. When chores were done, it was time to play and some of the best fun was had when we climbed up into the rafters, threw caution to the wind and dove into the corn bins. Of course these days, it's safety first so the corn diving is out-but if you ever have a chance to visit a farm, it will be an outing you will never forget.
This year, the 161st Schomberg Spring Fair is celebrating farming old and new. Our theme "On The Farm" will highlight many elements that will heighten all of your senses and bring smiles and laughter to all of your family - young and old. From animals to tractors, to some of the best displays of baking and home crafts, there really is something for everyone.
My rural roots are here in Schomberg and I am so thrilled that I have had the privilege of being President for the past two years. I have been truly blessed to have the opportunity to work with such an amazing group of hardworking dedicated volunteers who have been putting on, not only one of the best Fairs for over 160 years, but many other community events throughout the year! I am very proud to say that the Schomberg Spring Fair is an incredible showpiece of small town history, rural life and agriculture every year.
It is truly a pleasure to be part of the machine that keeps the Big Wheel Turning year after year - Schomberg Fair, See you There!
