Water sports, Barrie beaches, Orillia beaches, beach front parks, and romantic sunsets abound in Toronto’s closest resort destination. Fishing and boating are the mainstay of the summer activities in the Lake Simcoe. Minets Point beach and park is considered by many to be Barrie’s cottage country in the city. Winter in Lake Simcoe Area

Many resorts in the Lake Simcoe area are directly impacted by the snow belt region of Ontario. Barrie and Orillia are the largest cities. The area is often dubbed the Barrie Snowbelt.
